Credit Analyst
C2R Capital is a fast-growing private commercial real estate bridge-lending platform based in Houston, TX. They are seeking a Credit Analyst / Associate who will support loan originations, underwriting, due diligence, marketing, and relationship development while having direct exposure to the deal cycle.
Responsibilities
Underwrite bridge loan opportunities across land, industrial, retail, multifamily, and other commercial real estate asset classes
Underwrite distressed note purchase opportunities
Model deal structures, cash flows, and exit scenarios
Prepare internal investment memos and present findings to VP and Partners
Analyze third-party reports (title, survey, engineering, appraisal, environmental)
Make outbound cold calls and follow-up calls to brokers, lenders, bankers, and developers
Support VP in sourcing new deal opportunities across multiple markets
Build and maintain a personal network of repeat deal providers
Utilize CRM for ongoing pipeline management and outreach tracking
Assist in hosting calls, initial borrower interviews, and deal kickoffs
Support digital marketing (LinkedIn posts, deal announcements, website updates)
Assist with pitch decks, term sheets, and investor-facing materials
Coordinate with third-party vendors and consultants
Track due-diligence items and critical path milestones
Work directly with borrowers, attorneys, appraisers, and internal leadership
Assist in collateral monitoring and asset management updates
Qualification
Required
2–3+ years experience in commercial real estate lending, banking, private credit, or real estate finance
Not afraid to cold call—comfortable marketing by phone and initiating new relationships
Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple active deals
Comfort operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
Ability to travel as needed for site visits, conferences, and closings
