They are seeking interns for their FAR Program within the Internal Audit – Business Analytics team, where participants will engage in various assessments, audit testing, and gain exposure to real-world financial processes during a ten-week summer internship.

Responsibilities

Assist in the completion of financial, operational, and process design assessments and control testing
Participate in process walkthroughs and perform audit testing in accordance with department and professional standards
Obtain exposure to systems, databases, and other applications used by the Company on a daily basis
Practice project management through handling various assignments and projects
Expand knowledge through training and other online courses
Interact with other company leaders to develop an understanding of career options and opportunities at LPL Financial
Participate in department events and meetings throughout the internship program

Required

Current sophomore or junior
Interest in the financial services industry
In addition, relevant coursework, internships, or extracurricular leadership experience
3.0 GPA minimum
Offer is contingent upon successful background screening and agreement to be local to the Fort Mill/Charlotte office - Selected candidates will operate out of the Carolina's office working on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office)

Preferred

All majors are considered, but finance and accounting majors are preferred
GPA of 3.3 or higher
Basic financial and accounting knowledge (understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, etc.)
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 platforms
Effective communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Passionate, driven, open to new opportunities, and positive attitude
High level of motivation and initiative
