Litigation/Bankruptcy Docketing Specialist

LHH is partnering with a leading Florida law practice to hire an experienced Docketing Specialist with a strong litigation and bankruptcy focus. The role involves managing rules-based calendaring and deadline management to support attorneys and paralegals while ensuring compliance with court procedures.

Responsibilities

Own rules‑based docketing/calendaring: calculate, enter, and monitor critical litigation/bankruptcy deadlines
Review filings to capture relevant dates and proactively alert case teams to upcoming deadlines
Conduct court research (PACER, Westlaw, CourtDrive) and pull litigant, case, docket, and judge information
Advise on court procedures & applicable rules; respond to procedural inquiries from case teams
Prepare and distribute deadline reports and apply rigorous quality control to all docket data
Support ad‑hoc calendaring, research, and special projects; participate in weekly team check‑ins with attorneys/paralegals

Required

2+ years of docketing experience in bankruptcy or litigation using rules-based software (Compulaw strongly preferred)
Experience supporting matters across Federal & State courts (multi-state exposure a plus)
Strong knowledge of court rules, e-filing practices, and litigation/bankruptcy phases (through appeal)
Solid command of legal documents & terminology; proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
Exceptional organization, accuracy, and time management; able to juggle multiple deadlines under pressure
Clear, professional written and verbal communication with case teams and court personnel
