Office Technician - (Bilingual English/Spanish)

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Office Technician to join their Division of Children and Family Services. This role involves supporting SESA protection and safety teams while performing various clerical and administrative duties to assist in the care of Nebraska's children and families.

Responsibilities

Update and maintain legal action records
Imaging and organizing case documents
Preparing and sending court reports
Cover the front desk and assisting visitors
Opening and processing IMFC packets for removal cases
Printing and distributing gas, grocery, and hotel vouchers
Completing service preparation documents
Assisting with the transportation of State Wards
Assembling intake folders and distributing them to caseworkers
Printing and distributing case-related reports
Ordering Social Security cards and birth certificates
Redacting confidential information from documents
Stocking and maintaining office printers and supplies

Required

Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment
Valid Nebraska driver's license (must be willing to transport State Wards to other cities in Nebraska)

Preferred

Office experiences including clerical and administrative duties
Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Experience in Human Services or Social Services
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and pay great attention to detail
