Responsibilities

Assist with facility mechanical and/or plumbing design engineering (plans, specifications, calculations and cost estimates) for new facilities, facility modernization and aerospace ground support facilities and equipment projects

Perform system sizing calculations using engineering software and tools such as HVAC heat load calculations (Trane TRACE), pump sizing calculations, and plumbing system sizing under supervision

Perform facility condition assessments and capital asset management planning

Perform detailed construction cost analyses using RSMeans CostWorks and material take-offs of a variety of building types and equipment types (both US and international locations)

Perform field construction support

Learn and apply ASHRAE, NFPA, and international/local building codes

Write technical design narrative reports and engineering trade studies

Work with multi-disciplinary design teams
