The Infrastructure & Security Engineer will manage cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, security controls, and operational reliability while ensuring compliance with healthcare data regulations.

Responsibilities

Own the foundations our product runs on: cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, security controls, and operational reliability
Maintain and evolve SOC 2 Type 2 compliance posture as we grow
Make architectural decisions
Improve how we ship and run software
Collaborate with product engineers on developer experience
Work with leadership on security and compliance strategy

Required

5+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including networking, IAM, and security best practices
Strong Kubernetes expertise
Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar) and CI/CD pipeline design
Solid understanding of application and infrastructure security: secrets management, network segmentation, vulnerability management, access controls
Experience operating within compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, or similar)
Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound tradeoff decisions in complex systems

Preferred

Experience in healthcare or regulated environments handling sensitive data (PII, PHI)
Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and building effective alerting
Familiarity with database operations, backups, and disaster recovery
Experience with healthcare data pipelines or clinical data systems
Familiarity with ML infrastructure or model serving
Background in incident response or on-call culture design
Fluency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) and a clear understanding of their strengths and limitations
Startup experience where you have owned infrastructure end-to-end
