Administrative Specialist 3 (Municipal Court Services)

Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the Policy and Procedures Unit including the Principles of Municipal Court Administration (POMCA) training unit
Facilitate, moderate and conduct training programs both in-person and virtually
Review weekly live scan compliance reports and other reports related to CJR and flag issues
Serve as a technical liaison for all judiciary electronic systems used by the municipal courts and provide troubleshooting assistance
Assist in drafting municipal court policies and procedures
Collect and analyze data related to CJR
Determine resources necessary for accomplishing goals of team
Work on multiple assignments, while ensuring effective time management and prioritization
Participating in other projects as requested by management
Prepare written reports, non-routine correspondence and any other administrative work as needed by the unit
Respond to public inquiries
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience, one of which shall be in program development, program coordination, program analysis, program administration and/or administrative research
Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits
An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
A master's degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of experience
A law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of experience
Note: A master's degree or a law degree from an accredited college or university, may be used as a substitution, not both
Education Note: Degrees conferred outside of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service
Driver's License: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations
Special Note: Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting
Residency Law: In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the 'New Jersey First Act,' all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey

Strong knowledge of the judiciary's municipal court computer applications and use of virtual platforms
