Responsibilities
Ensure efficient workflow and task completion for work routed by the Co-Principal Investigator
Effectively manage multiple aspects of a project in collaboration with the student interns and the community partners
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure the successful completion of scheduled tasks
Participate in and provide support in project meetings, events, and initiatives
Gather, organize, and maintain data to support research objectives related to community archives work
Assist with conducting interviews and oral histories and gathering data related to the project
Assist in the preparation of reports, manuscripts, and other materials
Assist in building relationships to support the project
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Library and Information Science(MLIS) or related field, preferably with an emphasis in archival studies or research; or current enrollment in an ALA accredited MLIS program
Demonstrated experience with archival and historical research methods
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Preferred
Demonstrated commitment to working within a diverse environment and engaging respectfully with individuals from varied backgrounds
Strong interest in community archives or local, historical museums or cultural centers
