Sales Engineer
American Plastic Molding (APM) is an employee-owned organization specializing in product realization through engineering and injection molding. The Sales Engineer will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage customer relationships, and serve as a technical consultant, ensuring customer requirements are effectively translated into solutions.
Responsibilities
Identifying and developing new business opportunities
Managing customer relationships
Serving as a technical consultant to the sales team and clients
Presenting technical solutions
Providing product support
Preparing and delivering technical proposals
Collaborating with engineering and production teams
Ensuring customer requirements are translated into effective solutions
Providing excellent customer service
Maintaining a thorough understanding of APM's engineering and manufacturing capabilities
Qualification
Required
Technical proficiency, including knowledge of injection molding, thermoplastics processing, SolidWorks design software, and mold flow analysis
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships
Experience in project management, value stream mapping, and vendor management
Ability to prepare technical proposals and provide innovative product development and co-development solutions
Proven problem-solving skills and adaptability in resolving challenges, including mold repair scenarios
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred
Previous experience in sales engineering, technical consulting, or a related role is an advantage
