Start in 2026 SummerSierra Pacific Industries is a fourth-generation family-owned company based in Northern California that started in 1949 and has grown to be one of the largest lumber and millwork producers in the U.S. They are seeking motivated individuals for an Engineer Intern position in Automation/Controls, where interns will gain hands-on engineering experience in automation and electrical engineering by working with a team on control panel assembly and problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Assemble, wire and test control panels for state-of-the-art lumber manufacturing facilities
Work in small teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn new skills
Work and gain experience with Electricians, Automation and Computer Engineers
Qualification
Required
Engineering major in a relevant field – must be going into Junior or Senior year with a background in programming
Familiarity with MS Office, AutoCAD, and other analytical and planning tools
Capable of formulating creative solutions to complex problems
Possess the ability to work independently
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, listening, and reasoning skills
Preferred
Exposure to programming or electrical systems preferred
