Social Media and Communications Intern
Woodstock Farm Sanctuary is seeking a Marketing Intern to engage with their mission and amplify their message to a broader audience. The intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing, including content creation and social media initiatives, while advocating for farmed animals.
Non-profit Organization Management
Responsibilities
Assisting with the organization of in-house digital and print marketing materials
Helping generate photography and videography content when needed
Tabling at community events alongside staff and volunteers (when applicable)
Identifying new marketing trends and social media user behaviors to aid in creative brainstorms
Providing design and editing support (dependent on intern’s skillset)
Observing and helping with external press and public relations
Assisting with any administrative tasks related to marketing and communications
Qualification
Required
Strong sense of affinity with the mission and goals of Woodstock Sanctuary
Marketing and communications experience helpful
Strong communication skills
Basic computer skills and experience with online research
Familiarity with social media platforms
Desire to learn or experience with online management platforms and organization tools (i.e. Canva, Dropbox)
Photography, videography, design a plus
Comfortability around large animals or experience around farmed animals a plus
Excels in a collaborative setting
Benefits
Weekly Cost of Living Reimbursement: 24-30 hours: $75 per week
Weekly Cost of Living Reimbursement: 16-23 hours: $50 per week
