First Bank is one of the largest independent banks in the U.S., committed to its employees and clients. They are seeking a Mortgage Area Sales Manager to lead sales efforts, recruit qualified candidates, set production goals, and ensure adherence to loan production standards.

Responsibilities

Recruit and recommend qualified and high-performing mortgage loan originator (Home Loan Advisors) candidates for employment and ensure efficiency and effectiveness in recruitment practices, working with the Human Resources recruitment department

Set acceptable production goals that meet or exceed the Bank's minimum standards. Coach and mentor performance ensuring that individual and group production goals are met and adhere to all First Bank policies and guidelines

Work with loan production staff to ensure knowledge and understanding of all loan products and the underwriting criteria required for each area and ensure that First Bank loan pricing guidelines and standards are followed

Travel on a frequent basis to locations other than assigned branch/location

Provide input into group goals and annual budget. To ensure the budget is met, monitor and approve expenses within the policies set forth by First Bank

Work closely with First Bank retail branch personnel to cross-sell products and services as opportunity arises

Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems
