Generator Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities
Assist in engineering qualification of stator bars and H35 Generator with supplier
Assist in qualification of H53 Generator with supplier
Support H65 dual source qualifications for punchings
Create test plans, implement the test plan and documentation
Support qualification of outsourced generators
Work with internal teams on interfaces and meeting technical requirements
Track weekly Mfg progress at suppliers and respond to SDRs and update drawings/BOMs as necessary
Create BOMs
Complete PLM assigned tasks
Support Mfg and Sourcing in Industrialization projects and Top 20 Generator projects as well as qualification efforts to improve producibility
Respond to SDRs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
3+ years of experience in generator design, qualification, or manufacturing support
Proficiency in PLM systems, BOM creation, and engineering documentation
Strong understanding of generator components, industrialization processes, and supplier qualification
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
Experience with GE generators or similar OEM equipment
Familiarity with NPI, RCA, SDR, NCN, ER processes
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables under tight deadlines
