Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for assigned manufacturing processes
Through input from the customer, plant staff, and production employees the Manufacturing Engineer will review process controls, emphasize continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing methodology
Participate in the development of cell layouts, set up reduction (SMED), lead time reduction and improve productivity through waste reduction
In addition, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for achieving product target cost, improved efficiency and identifying possible production problems for existing products within their scope of accountability
Qualification
Required
Automotive environment engineering experience is required
Client WANT hands on mechanical engineer
Bachelor's Degree – Someone with an IE degree with relevant experience as a process engineer will also be considered
Process improvement experience (efficiency, waste reduction, scrap reduction, etc.)
Automotive Manufacturing industry engineering experience
AIAG core tools (such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA)
PLC (A/B or Fanuc preferred but any is ok). Troubleshooting or programming
Robotics / automation environments
Preferred
3D CAD design a plus
