Responsibilities
Billing claims daily and performing A/R follow-up
Sending patient statements, processing refunds, reviewing unapplied accounts, and managing collections
Monitoring accounts for opportunities to collect co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance
Documenting clearly and accurately in the billing system
Training new and current staff, serving as the first point of contact for billing-related questions
Reviewing workflows and staff assignments as needed
Approving adjustments and refunds
Assisting with insurance and patient balance follow-up
Supporting month-end closing processes
Collaborating closely with Billing Managers and Supervisors
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
Strong data entry, math, and computer skills (including Microsoft Word and Excel)
Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
Service-oriented with a team mindset
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred
Associate's Degree preferred
Experience in healthcare billing and/or accounts receivable strongly preferred
