The Vice President of Finance will report directly to the CEO and drive operational excellence while overseeing the company's finance, business administration, and accounting functions.

Janitorial Services

Responsibilities

Provide decision-making support as a thought partner to the CEO across operational and strategic initiatives

Oversee the accounting, human resources, legal, budgeting, and tax functions of the company

Lead initial diligence of acquisition targets and serve as point of contact for service providers helping drive closing

Oversee the monthly close process including consolidated accounting schedules that ensure an accurate and timely closing of monthly financials

Develop, manage, and evaluate the budgeting and forecasting process including the monthly variance analysis by identifying significant fluctuations

Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) that support the company’s strategic direction

Lead the preparation of quarterly board materials

Develop and maintain a good working relationship with the company’s bank contacts, outside auditors, and any other professional advisors

Prepare a financial results package and present it to the senior leadership team

Maintain appropriate insurance coverage

Manage cash balances and cash forecasts by developing a strategic plan for financing

Create, document, and automate efficient processes and procedures with a focus on internal controls and financial integrity

Own the production and maintenance of GAAP financials and assess current close process, controls, and reporting quality

Prepare the accounting function to successfully navigate an audit

Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reporting, including a comprehensive package for senior management

Develop and implement budget and forecasting process

Provide analysis of data to improve decision making and job level profitability

Refine KPI dashboards and management reporting

Develop infrastructure necessary to support future growth initiatives including organic and M&A opportunities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, Economics, or Business Administration required

Experience in entrepreneurial environments and in the creation of metrics (KPIs) as well as setting, measuring, and enforcing financial and operational standards

5+ years of experience in Accounting / Finance

Advanced proficiency in Excel and in building and maintaining financial models

Excellent verbal and written communication and experience partnering with an executive team
