The role involves leading premises liability and tort cases from inception through trial, with opportunities for growth and development in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Law Practice

Responsibilities

Litigate and lead premises liability and other tort cases with our excellent team from inception through trial in Georgia state and federal courts
Pleadings, motion practice, depositions, dispositive motions, pre-trial proceedings, trial, post-trial motions, and appeals
Client contact and reporting
Coordination with team members in the St. Simons Office as well as the Atlanta/Buckhead Office
Ability, willingness, and initiative to travel wherever the work requires
Meet billable time entry requirements and other law firm requirements
Meet client reporting requirements and litigation initiatives
Keep and meet litigation deadlines

Qualification

Required

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the state bar association
Admission to Georgia federal courts a plus--including the Southern District of Georgia
2-5+ years of post-J.D. experience with insurance defense, premises liability, trial practice, civil litigation, and/or judicial clerkship
Strong writing, research, oral advocacy, trial, and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Flexibility and adaptability
Drive and passion for trial practice
Self-motivated
