JANUS Research Group is seeking a Budget Analyst to support the PM Tactical Network. The role involves managing and executing the annual operating budget, formulating budget estimates, and ensuring proper allocation and spending of funds.

Responsibilities

Monitor and participate in the control and responsibility for the presentation and execution of Project Manager (PM) Programs

Responsible for formulation, presentation, and execution of annual operating budget

Formulate annual and multi-year budget estimates and maintain operating budgets

Compile narrative and statistical material and prepare exhibits and related background information for Program briefings

Prepare documents needed to process budget estimates

Monitor the execution of the approved operating budget to assure funds are properly allocated and are being obligated and spent in a timely and effective manner

Exercise budget controls through review and approval of the obligation and expenditure of funds to include payment of personnel salaries, travel, and expenses

Planning, establishment, monitoring and participation in the control and responsibility for the formulation, presentation, and execution involving life cycle program plans, assigned systems and equipment

Perform an in-depth analysis of budget requests, considers unforeseen factors in development and production, shifts in project direction and emphasis and/or requests not included in planned programs and explores alternative sources of funding

Develop justification and impact statements and compile data to be used for forecasting obligations

Recommend adjustment within budget line items in response to changes in programs, staffing levels and/or funds availability

Forecast and execute the prior, current, and budget year programs

Develop, formulate, and prepare required data and assorted narrative justifications for long-range budget exercises
