Responsibilities

Developing, implementing, and continually managing a data governance framework

Establishing standards and providing guidance for safeguarding, storing, retaining, utilizing, and complying with data-related regulations

Researching the ideal data governance tools for data cataloging

Maintenance of data governance related policies/standards/procedures

Process monitoring

Control implementation

Promoting best practices in data management

Required

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, operations research, information systems, engineering, economics, or equivalent work experience supporting data governance technology processes

Three (3) years' experience in similar data analysis focused on data governance or data quality management role utilizing data management tools such as Informatica, SAS, SQL, and other similar tools

Excellent listening, interpersonal, collaboration, written and verbal communication and collaboration skills

Experience as a 'team player' with strong relationship management skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across and at all levels within the organization

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are required to assess effectiveness of data management practices in both simple and complex business processes

Applicable knowledge of data governance frameworks or similar frameworks as a practice (i.e., data lifecycle management, data types, data lineage, data methodologies, data retention, data analytics and reporting, data protections, etc.)

Written documentation skills applicable to policies, processes, procedures

Knowledge of data analytics and data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, SAP BI, Power BI, Toad, Tableau, etc.)

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Ability to consume technical concepts and translate technical concepts to non-technical staff

Self-starter who can create, facilitate new concepts, engage in multiple initiatives, and interact with a diverse group of stakeholders across the company with minimal oversight

The exercise of independent judgment without fear of reprisal

Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment while handling multiple priorities

Excellent organizational skills

General understanding of industry compliance requirements
