Sr. Application Engineer

Responsibilities

Manage product design and development for new or existing products
Specify, size, and select subsystem components for power systems designs according to Engineering Guidelines
Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing products
Test and validate top level power systems as well as sub-level power system components
Review and verify product performance via testing
Assess reliability performance of product versus requirement
Analyzes proposals submitted to determine if benefit derived and possible applications justify expenditures
Completes work according to standard engineering principles and practices
Responsible to follow the company ERP procedures and maintenance as documented
Responsible to follow the company quality management procedures as documented
Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct
Perform special projects as required

Bachelor's Degree in the Automotive, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering plus 5 years' experience in Automotive, Mechanical or Electrical engineering or 9 years Automotive, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering experience

Preferred

Experience with any of the following systems: automotive, power generation, energy storage
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent organizational, planning and follow-up skills
Strong project management experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
