Responsibilities
Review all project documents, plans, and specifications
Quantify all DFH products according to specifications, door schedules, and floor plans
Build hardware sets within estimating software and request material pricing based on quantities
Prepare detailed proposal letters including clarifications and qualifications to clearly define included and excluded scope
Review proposals with Preconstruction Manager before submission and participate in internal and client scope review meetings
Communicate with clients throughout the estimating process and follow up on submitted proposals
Attend weekly schedule/status meetings with the Preconstruction team
Participate in internal product and process training
Engage in career advancement initiatives, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities within the market
Qualification
Required
Experience estimating Doors, Frames, and Hardware (DFH) projects
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to learn estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Emullion®, OST®)
Self-motivated with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines
Ability to read construction plans and understand local building codes and regulations
Commitment to high personal and professional standards
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Willingness to sign a Confidentiality, Non-Disclosure, and Non-Solicitation Agreement
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business, or related field (not required)
