Responsibilities
Leading 3 Regulatory Specialists and reporting to the Director of Technical Services
Developing product nutrition and ingredient information for product labels for the US market and Canada with some export requirements
Overseeing and maintaining product label ingredient databases and nutrition facts panels
Working with customers and R&D on formula design to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Collaborating with Sales and R&D as part of the commercialization process for new products
Responding to nutritional and regulatory technical inquiries for both internal and external customers
Qualification
Required
BS degree with a preference for Food Science or other science degree
Food product label regulations
Familiar with USDA, FDA and international guidelines
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret a variety of technical information in mathematical and/or narrative form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Understanding of quality control processes related to the food processing industry
Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment
