Senior Scrum Master
Persistent Systems is an AI-led, platform-driven Digital Engineering and Enterprise Modernization partner. They are seeking a Senior Scrum Master to lead Scrum teams, facilitate Agile delivery, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating closely with stakeholders and Product Owners.

Responsibilities
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies:
Sprint Planning
Daily Stand‑ups
Sprint Reviews
Retrospectives
Ensure adherence to Scrum framework, Agile values, and best practices
Enable teams to deliver predictable, high‑quality outcomes
Coach teams toward self‑organization and continuous improvement
Act as the Agile/Jira subject matter expert for assigned teams
Create and optimize advanced JQL queries to:
Track sprint progress, risks, and aging work items
Monitor velocity, throughput, cycle time, and blockers
Design and maintain Jira dashboards for:
Team‑level metrics
Program or leadership visibility
Implement Jira Automation rules to:
Reduce manual effort
Improve workflow efficiency
Enforce Agile governance and consistency
Build and maintain Agile reports and dashboards using:
Jira native reports
Data Plane (or equivalent advanced Jira reporting tools)
Analyze delivery data to identify:
Bottlenecks
Capacity issues
Delivery risks and trends
Translate Agile metrics into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
Support forecasting, release planning, and outcome tracking
Maintain Agile documentation in Confluence, including:
Team working agreements
Sprint artifacts and retrospectives
Program and release documentation
Create standardized templates and Agile playbooks
Ensure transparency and knowledge sharing across teams
Partner closely with Product Owners to:
Improve backlog grooming and prioritization
Ensure stories are well‑defined and ready for sprint execution
Communicate progress, risks, metrics, and dependencies to:
Business stakeholders
Engineering leadership
Program management
Support cross‑team coordination and dependency management
Identify opportunities to improve:
Team velocity and flow
Quality and predictability
Agile processes and tooling usage
Mentor junior Scrum Masters
Promote Agile maturity across teams and the broader organization
Qualification
Required
8+ Years of Experience
Min. 10+ years of exp. in IT
5+ years of experience in Agile SCRUM project execution methodology, Jira, Confluence, JQL
3+ years of experience in owning & executing end2end projects from inception to production implementation
3+ years of experience in end2end Project Plans, and Release Plans development from scratch
5+ years of experience in onshore and offshore Global Delivery Model
1+ years of experience in managing GCP projects
Tech savvy to learn and understand the skills and tools as required for the projects
Technical hands-on while showcasing the continuous technical learning path (certifications, tech skills etc.)
Technical mindset to understand and participate in technical solutioning and understand the architecture documents/system diagrams
Prepare status reports like daily/weekly status reports
Must be able to work onsite from Southlake, TX
