Entegris is seeking a Senior Scientist to join its Analytical Services team in Chaska/Bloomington, MN. This role will be responsible for leading testing, maintenance, method development, and optimization on Thermal Desorption Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (TD-GCMS) instrumentation and serve as a subject matter expert.

Responsibilities

Support laboratory operations including performing sample prep and analysis following established SOP’s and safety protocols

Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instrumentation specifically GCMS, but potentially to include ICPMS, IC, etc

Analyze data and communicate results effectively

Perform method development, validation, and design of experiments for R&D projects

Drive for continuous improvement of existing testing methods and procedures

Continuous training on various analytical techniques and methods

Required

MS with 3 years relevant industry experience or PhD with relevant experience in analytical chemistry related field or equivalent work experience to demonstrate competency

Considerable knowledge and understanding of GCMS systems and operations, Perkin Elmer experience ideal

Experience with other analytical instrumentation including IC, ICP, LPC and polymers is a plus

Familiarity with Labware LIMS

Detail orientated with strong technical communication skills

Ability to work adhering to deadlines; multitasking and prioritizing as needed

Self-motivated and independent problem solver

A team player
