Responsibilities

Diagnoses, repairs and maintains ground support equipment (GSE)
Advises and trains lower grade workers on diagnosis and repairs of less complex repair/maintenance problems
Diagnoses all system components including electrical, electronics, and emissions related fault codes etc., in order to repair or replace faulty parts, as indicated by required testing or visual observations
Uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions
Maintains external fuel and grounding systems
Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE
Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications
Prepares GSE for storage and mobility deployment
Operates, cleans, inspects and services GSE towing vehicles
Maintains vehicle records
Maintains and updates paper and electronic equipment records
Provides dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations
Practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times

Required

Diagnoses, repairs and maintains ground support equipment (GSE)
An active Class A CDL license is mandatory
Advises and trains lower grade workers on diagnosis and repairs of less complex repair/maintenance problems
Diagnoses all system components including electrical, electronics, and emissions related fault codes etc., in order to repair or replace faulty parts, as indicated by required testing or visual observations
Uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions
Maintains external fuel and grounding systems
Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE
Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications

Work includes cross-utilization into other positions that fall within their scope of work
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum three (3) years experience repairing and maintaining one or a combination of the following: Ground Vehicles (track or wheeled), Power-generation equipment, Rotary or fixed wing aircraft, Industrial mechanical equipment (pumps, conveyors, lifts, etc.)
Military experience with maintenance and/or mechanical background (91, 88, 3521 or other mechanical MOS would be best)
Working knowledge of computer systems and software

Preferred

Experience working at a government facility helpful
