Oxford Solutions is working with a client to hire a Structural Designer to support industrial structural design projects. The role focuses on structural steel and foundation design for industrial facilities, and candidates will work in a 3D design environment supporting the full lifecycle of structural design and documentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare structural reports, designs, and construction drawings for industrial facilities
Design and model load-bearing systems including buildings, platforms, frames, equipment supports, crane girders, trusses, and foundations
Perform calculations related to loads, pressures, stresses, and material selection
Analyze structural configurations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
Use Autodesk Advance Steel and AutoCAD to develop accurate 2D and 3D design packages
Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to support project execution
Support reviews, inspections, and constructability evaluations as needed
Senior-level candidates may provide technical oversight, review work from junior designers, and support project coordination or leadership efforts

Required

Associate Degree in drafting, technical drawing, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Background in structural steel and foundation design for industrial projects is required
Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail with solid organizational skills
Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a project-driven environment
Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines

Preferred

3D modeling experience (Advance Steel preferred)
Experience level may range from mid-level to senior, depending on capability and background
