Electronics Assembler II - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities
Assemble high reliability chassis and final assemblies using circuit cards, stand offs, wire harnesses, solder and crimping, electrical and mechanical instruments. Complete inspections and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) checks
Perform high reliability soldering and crimping operations on complex sub-assemblies, electronic, and mechanical assemblies, repair of circuit boards, jumper wires, and wire harnesses
Solder/crimp wires and jumpers to multiple pin connectors/assemblies to meet government/customer inspection and specification
Decipher assembly drawings Bill of Material (B.O.M) and work with electronic work instructions
Know and follow applicable Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) procedures; understand high reliability soldering specifications and meet certification requirements as applicable
Be familiar with several different cleaning procedures, different potting compounds, and paints
Use a variety of tools such as regular hand tools, dial torque wrenches, auto torque drivers, crimpers, fixtures, digital calipers, solder iron, hot tweezers, heat gun, microscope, and high-resolution equipment
Clean and maintain work areas and equipment including tools, keeping area clean from FOD
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English
Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
At least 3 years related electrical assembly and soldering experience
Follow strict Federal Aviation Agency (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.)
