Program Quality Engineering Associate Manager

Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide leadership for a team of Quality Engineers in support of the IRST program. The Program Quality Engineering Associate Manager will oversee all phases of the program's life cycle and will be responsible for leading a team, managing quality roles, and driving process and quality improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of direct reports as well as participate and be accountable for multiple Quality roles and responsibilities
Manage IRST Quality Risk Indicator (QRI)
Oversee Operational Health Index (OHI)
Facilitate Corrective Action Board (CAB) activities
Conduct Failure Review Boards (FRB)
Manage Preliminary Material Review (PMR)
Lead Material Review Board (MRB) processes
Drive Yield Improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI)
Conduct Program Baseline Reviews, INAR's, and PAR's
Perform External and Internal Audits
Conduct Customer Briefings
Provide personnel training, mentoring, work assignments, workload allocation, performance assessment inputs and recognition / disciplinary action inputs
Drive process, quality and technical improvements
Facilitate root cause and corrective action (RCCA)
Support Proposal / Basis of Estimates (BOE) inputs
Assist with risk mitigation activities and design/technical reviews
Collaborate with internal cross-functions such as engineering, operations, global supply chain, program management, and planning to support IRST program goals, objectives, and commitments
Analyze performance data and effectiveness of corrective & preventative actions
Lead, facilitate, and support resolution of critical/complex technical or operational problems
Ensure relevant standards, specifications, procedures, and processes are implemented and adhered to during program operations

Required

A complete understanding of quality tasks as they pertain to risk management, hardware development, manufacturing, and customer support
Must possess a high-level of adaptability and have a proven ability to demonstrate focus on achieving positive results
A strong process aptitude and demonstrated advocacy required, including proven technical ability and business judgement
Must be able to perform and lead a team as well as demonstrate a customer-focused work environment, maintaining effective communication with internal/external customers including Government Representatives and DCMA
Ability to coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Program Management, as well as equivalents from MFC Manufacturing sites and centers on product quality issues and effective issue resolution
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance

Preferred

STEM degree at Bachelor's level or higher is preferred
Knowledge of Lockheed Martin/Aerospace quality related systems, processes and procedures as applicable to IRST hardware development, production, and/or sustainment to make data driven decisions
Previous Quality experience, interpreting and applying contractual and AS9100 requirements
Strong product and process knowledge
Excellent technical skills, communication, and presentation skills
Demonstrated talent development and team building skills
High energy, self-starting, team player who achieves goals
