Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise cloud application and infrastructure architectures aligned with business goals
Architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments using industry best practices
Assess existing on-prem and hybrid environments and define cloud migration strategies, timelines, and roadmaps
Lead and validate cloud migrations, ensuring data integrity, performance, and system reliability
Ensure cloud solutions comply with security, governance, and regulatory standards
Implement security controls, identity management, and data protection mechanisms
Monitor cloud performance and optimize for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into architectural solutions
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and IT teams on cloud best practices
Stay current with cloud, AI/ML, and generative AI trends and services
Advise leadership on AI/ML and GenAI use cases, mapping workloads to AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure services
Develop reference architectures, runbooks, and technical documentation to support adoption and operations
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience architecting enterprise application solutions across on-prem and cloud environments
8+ years of hands-on experience architecting solutions on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
8+ years designing cloud-native architectures using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models
Strong experience designing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions
Experience across the full lifecycle of AI, Machine Learning, or Deep Learning solutions on AWS or GCP
Proven ability to lead architecture decisions in complex enterprise environments
Preferred
Strong understanding of networking concepts: VPC/VNet, VPN, DNS, load balancers, firewalls
Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, IAM, encryption, and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, or scripting for automation
Experience with APIs (REST/SOAP), microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures
Ability to analyze and optimize cloud costs without compromising performance
Strong communication skills with the ability to present architecture to technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with AWS services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, EC2, Redshift, Kinesis, EMR, or comparable GCP services
Familiarity with Vertex AI, Agent Builder, Transcribe, or similar AI platforms
Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect
