Responsibilities

Leading the development of main machinery requirements through consensus building discussions with internal stakeholders and customer community

Review and approval of supplier design deliverables that document the capabilities and design aspects of the turbine generator, main propulsion unit and/or low speed coupling

Development of component specific deliverables (acquisition strategies, procurement specifications, supplier facility recommendations, etc.) for customer review and approval

Supporting Electric Boat development of technical and programmatic deliverables from multiple disciplines (program office, structures, mechanical, electrical, etc.)

Interfacing with multi-disciplined teams across enterprise organizations (Electric Boat, Newport News Shipbuilding, Naval Nuclear Laboratories, NAVSEA) to collaboratively develop the next generation propulsion plant
