Valuation Services Intern

Responsibilities
Prepare financial models and detailed valuation analyses using various methodologies, including discounted cash flow, market multiples, and precedent transactions in a variety of industries for financial reporting, tax, and consulting valuations. FS focused team members: focus on financial instruments associated with financial institutions with a large emphasis on loans and deposits
Prepare comprehensive valuation reports and presentations that clearly communicate results, findings, and/or recommendations to clients
Gather and analyze financial data, market trends, and industry information to support valuation conclusions. Perform initial translation of client data for application and use in Crowe’s models and analysis tools. Assist in maintaining control over the data, including gaps in data received, and keeping project manager informed of data collection issues that could hinder timely delivery
Assist in client meetings and presentations, providing support in explaining valuation methodologies and/or findings
Assist in managing specific project tasks and timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards
Prepare reviews of third-party appraisals for audit support purposes
Focused team player to deliver on client engagements and collaborate with other team members and Crowe practices to build cross-functional relationships
Provide support in updating and maintaining valuation models utilized and internal processes
Financial Service (FS) focused team members: Analyze loan portfolios for portfolio risks and cash flow drivers; perform analysis and modeling relating to quantitative approaches for the estimation of loan portfolio credit loss, in accordance with the Current Expected Credit Loss ("CECL") standard (ASC 326); and perform analysis for financial due diligence for Buy or Sell side clients based on scope and direction provided
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree (varies depending on role) in Accounting, Finance, Operations/Supply Chain Management, MIS, Operations Management, or related fields
CPA Eligibility: You must be scheduled to meet the educational requirements to obtain a CPA license. Prior to starting full-time, new hires must fulfill the education-related eligibility criteria to obtain a CPA license in their assigned Crowe work location. These requirements vary by state, and it is the new hire's responsibility to ensure that they satisfy the applicable criteria prior to starting with the firm
Strong academic credentials
Proficient with Excel
Relevant work experience (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs)
Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with professionals of all levels
Desire to travel (percentage varies depending on role)
Preferred
Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in one of the following preferred majors (or similar background): Accounting, Finance, Economics, Internal Audit, Business Administration
