Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including A/P, A/R, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
Own and drive the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Supervise and support accounting staff, including A/P, A/R and Staff Accountant roles
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Assist with annual budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis
Help implement and refine accounting systems and workflows, especially during our NetSuite ERP implementation
Support intercompany accounting and consolidation efforts across US and international entities
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies
Lead ASC 842 lease accounting compliance, including lease schedule maintenance and monthly amortization entries
Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and consultants as needed
Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to scale finance operations
Participate in inventory costing, COGS analysis, and inventory-related reconciliations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA track strongly preferred
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role
Strong understanding of US GAAP, month-end close processes, and internal controls
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite a strong plus); proficient in Excel and QuickBooks Online
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Preferred
Experience in consumer goods, retail, e-commerce, or inventory-based businesses preferred
Experience with Shopify and Avalara a plus
