Responsibilities
Performs SAP system administration and provides insight needed to optimize and maintain overall SAP reliability, availability, and performance
Meets defined SLAs by providing hands on support and technical leadership for incidents
Supports the planning, design, and architecture of SAP systems Installs, configures, and maintains all SAP BASIS components performs SAP upgrades including support pack implementations
Continuously drives sustainable operational excellence in the areas of optimizing services and work processes, improving quality and reliability (reduces incidents, defects, and waste) and lowers total delivery costs
Works closely with other technical teams to ensure appropriate capacity planning actions and optimization of SAP services
Defines and implements effective and efficient support models and processes ensures regulatory and legal compliance
Ensures secure operations of the SAP landscape maintains awareness of security related industry trends, risks, and standards identifies and implements improved security features and applies security patches Provides product life cycle, vendor, and contract management for applications supported understands IT vendor directions for area of proficiency
Identifies opportunities to deflect requests incidents through better training and knowledge articles and supports departmental development planning
Provides guidance to support teams and ensures operational knowledge is captured from new unknown issues ensures the support team adheres to existing standard operating procedures
Effectively manages knowledge base to maintain evergreen articles with support team, Level 2 technical resources and leadership

SAP BASIS Expertise Installation, configuration, and administration of SAP landscapes including S4HANA, Solution Manager, SAP router and GRC
SAP BTP Management Skilled in SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS), SSO, OAuth, Role-based Access Control, Cloud ALM, SAC, Datasphere, Neo, and Cloud Foundry services for secure and scalable cloud solutions
System Upgrades Maintenance Hands-on experience with Support Packs, Enhancement Packs, Kernel Upgrades, and OSDB migrations
Transport Management Proficient in STMS, ChaRM, and managing multi-tier transport landscapes
Performance Optimization Core understanding of HANA DB performance analysis, optimization, and reorganization techniques
Solution Manager (SolMan) Expertise in SolMan 7.2, ChaRM, CSOL, Retrofits, Monitoring, Project Management setup, and integration of third-party testing tools
Security Compliance Implementing SAP security patches, system hardening, Vulnerability, Threat management and ensuring regulatory compliance
Database OS Administration Skilled in SAP HANA, MSSQL, Linux, and MS Windows Server OS
Networking Business Continuity Strong knowledge of networking, backup and restore, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies
