They are seeking a hands-on Service Technician to join their Schiller Park, IL team, primarily responsible for preparing machines for shipment, providing technical support, and performing customer demonstrations.

Responsibilities
Prepare machines for shipment to end users
Uncrate new machine tools, power up, perform full testing of all machine capabilities, and issue written inspection reports
Perform customer demonstrations and operator walkthroughs
Provide technical phone support and on-site service as needed to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve machine issues for customers in a timely manner
Accurately document service activities, repairs, and maintenance procedures
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience with machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, saws, etc.)
Industrial electrical (3-phase) knowledge and troubleshooting ability
Strong mechanical aptitude with previous industrial machine tool repair/installation experience
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Electrical: 2 years
Capital Equipment / Machine Tools: 1 year
Willingness to travel: 30% (Required)
