Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate daily operations of one or more paper machines to meet production, quality, and cost targets
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards
Monitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) such as machine efficiency, downtime, waste, and energy use
Partner with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Lead root-cause problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to improve uptime, product quality, and productivity
Analyze data and trends to identify areas for process and cost improvements
Drive consistency across shifts and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Enforce all safety procedures and standards; champion a zero-incident safety culture
Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
Ensure compliance with all environmental, quality, and corporate regulations
Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality departments to coordinate planned outages, process changes, and product trials
Support capital projects and process upgrades, including commissioning and startup activities

Qualification

Paper machine operationsProcess control systemsLean Six SigmaBachelor’s degree in EngineeringIndustrial manufacturing experience

Required

Paper mill or industrial manufacturing experience
Strong technical understanding of paper machine operations, process control systems, and quality parameters

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Paper Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
