Patient Scheduler
Specialty1 is a dental practice seeking a talented Patient Scheduler to improve patient experiences. The role involves providing high-level customer service, scheduling appointments, and coordinating with various teams to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities
Provide high-level customer service to our patients and referral offices via phone
Utilize multi-line phone queue system to efficiently assist callers
Direct callers to appropriate department for assistance, if not calling to schedule an appointment
Assess, document, and dock patients to RN utilizing clinical messaging for post-surgical questions and concerns
Accurately schedule patients for consultation and surgical procedure in the patient EMR system using appropriate policies and protocols
Obtain appropriate insurance information and complete the insurance verification form accurately
Educate patients on in-network insurance policies and protocols for out-of-network insurances
Contact patients to reschedule their appointments due to schedule changes
Performs other duties as assigned or requested such as, but not limited to, patient registration queue, patient EMR data entry/scanning, referral office requests, and chart preparation
Comply with all HIPAA regulations at all times
Follow and model the Practice’s values and inspire others to achieve the same
Qualification
Required
1-2 years of experience in a dental office, preferably as a patient scheduler or patient coordinator or in a similar patient-scheduling role
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and the dental team
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain information in a clear and understandable manner
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
Proficiency in dental software and basic computer skills
Understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
Empathetic and patient-centered approach to customer service
A high school diploma
