Responsibilities
Manage labor effectively for entire shift
Drive plant operations and continuous improvement
Work closely with all departments to achieve plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including safety, environment, people, quality, responsiveness, and cost
Ensure that all personnel, prior to the start of shift, are wearing the correct safety equipment and that safety awareness is maintained throughout the shift
Ensure that all safety and incident reporting procedures are followed as well as all individuals are properly trained and their job functions are being performed correctly
Qualification
Required
5+ years of management experience in manufacturing, preferably in non-climate-controlled environments
Possess a working knowledge of TPS concepts e.g. work place organization/5S, root cause analysis
Understands production planning concepts - able to plan, allocate resources, manage production and coordinate people and equipment
