Responsibilities

Lead the full mechanical design of systems from concept through release
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Project Management, and Purchasing to support project execution
Manage engineering projects end-to-end while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and guidelines (UL, ASME, AWS, etc.)
Perform and support DFMEA and FEA analyses to validate designs and mitigate risk
Develop complete 3D models from the ground up, creating original designs rather than modifying existing ones
Apply hands-on knowledge of steel components, fabrication processes, sheet metal design, and welding methods
Interface directly with suppliers to support design for manufacturability and procurement needs
Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support production and purchasing

Qualification

3D CAD designAutodesk InventorBills of Materials (BOMs)SolidWorksProject management

Required

5+ years of experience in 3D CAD design, including sheet metal, systems design, welded assemblies, and structural components
Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor preferred; experience with other 3D CAD platforms such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD will also be considered
Experience creating, maintaining, and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) throughout the design lifecycle
Demonstrated project management experience, taking designs from initial concept through detailed design, iteration, and cross-functional communication
