The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for overseeing inventory control and cycle counting functions, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities

Receives and records new inventory as it is delivered; inspects and stores it according to policy

Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct periodic physical inventory counts

Perform scheduled and periodic inventory counts

Research and explain variances discovered during scheduled and periodic inventory counts

Consistently maintain accurate inventories of raw materials and components

Assure accurate picking and staging of raw materials and components for production in a timely manner to avoid manufacturing delays and complete returns from the processing areas

Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce costs

Prepare and follow preventive maintenance schedule for forklifts and pallet jacks

Complete documentation of inventory operations where required by Standard Operation Procedures (SOP's) and file accordingly

Monitor/track/report on workload, schedules, reliability, compliance, and training issues

Performs other duties as assigned
