The Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) is a not-for-profit corporation established to regulate condominium management in Ontario. They are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Elected Director on the Board of Directors, responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of the CMRAO's affairs.

Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and oversight of the affairs of the CMRAO
Ensure that the CMRAO meets its obligations under the Condominium Management Services Act, 2015, the Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010, and the Safety and Consumer Statutes Administration Act, 1996
Participate in Board and Committee meetings, with a minimum of four Board meetings scheduled every year
Qualification
Required
Ability to serve for a three-year term
Participation in Board and Committee meetings
Minimum of four Board meetings scheduled every year
Possess a positive orientation for proactive consumer protection initiatives
Provide strong participation that strives for excellence and supports consensus-building
Be strategic thinkers who take a governance-focused approach to Board responsibilities
Demonstrate a willingness to proactively support the CMRAO's mandate, mission, vision and values
Enhance representation in one or more of the following areas: condo management, government experience, information technology, condo sector knowledge, regulatory experience, marketing and communications
Background check is required for candidates selected to be presented for election
