Responsibilities

Collaborates with other developers, analysts, and designers to develop new software programs and applications for external clients

Plans phases of the software development life cycle for assigned projects

Design, test, deploy and maintain one or more software products

Research emerging application development software projects for procurement and development efforts

Write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications

Design and/or customize software for external client use to ensure operational efficiency

Perform software updates and testing

Write programming scripts to ensure functionality of software for assigned projects

Schedule and perform software improvements and updates

Analyze user needs and develop software solutions

Collaborate with other developers across business lines to make technical recommendations

Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 3 years related professional experience required

Associate degree and 5 years related professional experience required

Strong technical knowledge in computer equipment, storage, back-ups, operating systems and tools used in an operating environment required

Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment

Effective written and oral communications skills

Demonstrated critical thinking skills

Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PPT)

Ability to obtain applicable certifications
