Appointment Stream Assistant Professor of Psychology, Area Open, Developmental Preferred
The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology. The position requires a focus on teaching and research, particularly in developmental psychology, to support students in their career paths within the field.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include a 12-hour teaching load per term (i.e., 4:4 load) and an active research program, including supervision of undergraduates, along with departmental, divisional, and college-wide service activities
Teaching duties include Introduction to Psychology, Child Development, Adolescent Development, Lifespan Development, Adult Development, and other courses in one’s specialty area
Qualification
Required
Applicants are required to have a doctoral degree in Psychology or related field by August, 2026
Preferred
Preferred candidates will have teaching experience in higher education
Preferred candidates will have experience conducting and publishing research
