IT Commodity Buyer/Planner
Wolfspeed is seeking an IT Commodity Manager to join their Business Support Services team in Indirect Procurement. This role involves supporting indirect procurement activities with a focus on software and hardware purchases, managing supplier relationships, and driving alignment with procurement policies.

Responsibilities
Analyze Wolfspeed spend data, identify key suppliers and trends, and discuss current and future needs with a diverse group of internal stakeholders
Refine sourcing strategies to address pain points and/or optimize supply base for Wolfspeed
Identify strategic suppliers and cultivate relationships to position Wolfspeed as a preferred customer
Drive alignment to procurement policies and processes, including implementation of supplier scorecards and regular business reviews as appropriate
Identify and implement opportunities to drive down total costs of ownership through avoidance or direct reductions
Implement/maintain contract lifecycle management, facilitate timely contract reviews, and manage renewals with key departmental stakeholders
Own and manage the Requests for Information, Quote, or Proposal (RFI, RFQ, RFP or collectively, RFX) process from start to finish
Lead the contract review process, both by providing detailed insights in review of contracting documents and by steering each contract through the review steps
Coordinate coverage of the business needs with a junior team member on a daily basis, this is an individual contributor position, rather than a supervisor/lead
Demonstrate excellent communication skills by building relationships at all levels of the organization, presenting to senior leadership with poise and precision, tailoring delivery and message to each audience
Qualification
Required
BS or BA in an analytical field of study, or equivalent work experience demonstrating analytical and negotiation skills
Resilience and are comfortable dealing with change
Innate desire to help others succeed or a natural inclination to encourage others
Demonstrated experience working effectively on a team with competing priorities
Personal commitment to fair and ethical business practices
A toolbox of communication skills that includes responsiveness, professionalism, accountability, clarity, relationship building, persuasion, and patience
Successful strategies that keep you and your work organized
Self-motivation to take ownership and manage a piece of the business
Experience developing and managing RFXs
Demonstrated experience in contract review and contract language
Ability to advocate for and negotiate on behalf of Wolfspeed
Preferred
Working knowledge of SAP and SAP Business Network (formerly Ariba)
Familiarity with Icertis or another contract lifecycle management software platform
Demonstrated success (3+ years) in negotiating IT software contracts, as either the customer or service provider
