Responsibilities
Conduct Risk Engineering Surveys for Refineries, Petrochemical sites and Batch Chemical Sites
Account Engineering for multinational clients
Implementation of efficient loss prevention measures with the development of effective operational risk management procedures at client level
Establish a Risk Engineering Practice in line with HRC Standards
Implement HRC Risk Engineering tools
Desktop reviews of external risk reports on assigned follow accounts
Provide reports in a timely manner in agreement with underwriters and in accordance with HRC Risk Engineering guidelines
Attend client presentations where requested by the underwriting team
Develop close relationships with clients and underwriters
Keep up-to-date with the latest technical developments in major industries and provide technical updates to underwriters
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a risk engineer in the insurance industry
Strong technical expertise in process safety management, operations, process engineering
Bachelor of Science Degree better in Chemical Engineering
Knowledge NFPA Codes
Highly motivated personnel with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Willing to travel 20-30%
Preferred
Professional membership of engineering associations would be advantageous
