Responsibilities

Safeguard the performance of critical batch assets through advanced process control strategies and robust data flows

Design and validate ISA-88 recipe/SFC structures and implement APC methods in PLC/DCS (Emerson DeltaV)

Ensure compliance with GAMP validation and structured change management (MOC)

Integrate process, quality, and genealogy data across AVEVA PI, MES, LIMS, and SAP for traceability and analytics

Drive vertical integration from the shop floor to ERP using ISA-95 standards

Apply advanced analytics and modeling to optimize efficiency and quality

Maintain OT cybersecurity and network integrity

Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, IT/OT, and Engineering teams to deliver reliability and continuous improvement

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Automation Engineering, Process Control, or related field

5–8+ years in batch process industries (biotech, food ingredients, specialty chemicals, pharma)

Proven experience with ISA-88 recipe management and GAMP validation

Hands-on PLC/DCS experience (Emerson DeltaV) preferred and considered a significant advantage

Strong knowledge of AVEVA PI (AF/EF), MES interfaces, and ISA-95 data integration

Familiarity with OT cybersecurity and formal change control procedures

Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills

Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive compliance

Preferred

Experience with advanced analytics tools (Seeq, TrendMiner, TwinThread)

Statistical analysis skills (JMP, Minitab, AspenTech ProMV, SIMCA)

Model Predictive Control experience (AspenTech DMCPlus, Simulink)

Python programming and familiarity with graph databases (Neo4j)

Change-agent mindset with strong stakeholder management and coaching ability
