Private Label Beauty & Wellness is seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP ASE / Sybase Database Administrator (DBA) to support and maintain enterprise-level database environments for mission-critical systems. This role requires deep expertise in SAP ASE/Sybase administration, performance optimization, and database reliability, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and maintain SAP ASE / Sybase database environments
Monitor database performance, capacity, and availability to ensure high reliability and uptime
Perform database tuning, optimization, and root cause analysis
Manage database security, user access controls, and compliance with internal standards
Support database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
Apply patches, upgrades, and routine maintenance to database systems
Collaborate with application developers, system engineers, and architects to support enterprise solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues across development, test, and production environments
Develop and maintain database documentation, procedures, and best practices

Required

Extensive experience administering SAP ASE / Sybase databases in enterprise environments
Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting
Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
Solid understanding of database security best practices
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with distributed teams
Strong documentation and communication skills
+ U.S. Citizenship required
Ability to successfully complete DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) and agency-specific privileged access processes
