Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate HVAC system cost estimates
Perform take-offs, material and labor calculations, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and labor
Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine scope of work and identify potential challenges
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project requirements and budgets
Stay updated with local and national HVAC codes and regulations to ensure compliance in all estimates
Attend pre-construction meetings and project site visits when necessary to gather data and assess conditions
Provide clear, comprehensive, and timely estimates for HVAC projects, including equipment, labor, and materials
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC estimating for commercial construction projects
Experience with design-build projects and integrated project delivery
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and commercial building construction processes
Proficiency in HVAC estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and scope documents accurately
Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients, vendors, and project teams
Preferred
Previous experience with CAD and Revit is beneficial
