The Integration Architect will develop and maintain interfaces between external and internal customers and the integration platform, ensuring optimal performance and maintainability while mentoring engineers and collaborating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of various application integrations including Athena Health, Rhapsody and external vendors (e.g. HIE’s)

Analyze environment to identify critical deficiencies and recommend improvement solutions

Ensure the architecture of the integration solutions is optimized for performance and maintainability

Provide the roadmap with clearly defined milestones, enabling the engineer to tackle tasks more easily

Create, present, and maintain program design, artifacts like data flow diagrams and end users process maps

Setup and help configure integration tools or platforms necessary to implement bi-directional applications and EHR connectivity

Review all project-related design documents and ensure alignment with enterprise software development standards including change management

Configure interface monitoring options and review and ensure all error messages are addressed according to service level agreements (SLAs)

Provides guidance and mentor engineers navigating complex building stages

Collaborates with clients to gather and understand their business requirements and translate them into functional specifications

Lead authentication and security strategy for connections between internal and external systems

Participate in integration testing with internal application and with external third-party external applications

Provide on-call support for production performance/availability or other critical issues

Required

8+ years of HL7 experience (version 2.x/version 3)

Knowledge of HL7 Integration Engine Platforms

8+ years of interface support/ troubleshooting experience

8+ years of experience with XML/JSON

Working knowledge of CDA (Clinical document architecture) Standards

Strong understanding of Rhapsody integration engine
