Responsibilities

Engages clients as they enter the branch by welcoming them and making them feel appreciated including managing lobby traffic, checking clients into the waiting queue, and delivering the utmost world class customer experience environment
Performs branch operations which may include managing cash devices such as the cash drawer, cash vault, ATM, or others while adhering to all bank policies and procedures and performing account origination for consumer clients
Provides proactive client outreach to gauge success and offer new tools to help them meet their consumer banking and investment goals
Champions new Universal Banker skills such as tablet utilization, account opening, and other key initiatives, helping customers as they learn new ways to bank leveraging all channels of banking
Educates clients on the usage of technology self-service options such as leveraging the Southern Mobile App, Southern.com, and ATMs to complete their banking needs whenever, wherever, and however they want
Shares best practices across the supported branches to deliver a strong controls environment and exceptional customer experience

Required

High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum six months of customer service and cash handling experience
Strong customer contact skills to meet and greet the public in a friendly, courteous manner responding to a variety of situations in a professional manner
Maintain confidentiality of the Bank's records and customer transactions
Detail oriented, accurate, and able to multi-task; good mathematical aptitude
Ability to operate a computer terminal, 10 key, and other general office equipment
Willingness to be involved and represent Southern Bancorp through civic and community organizations

Preferred

Experience in a bank or similar financial institution preferred
