Responsibilities

Identify and ticket plant communication, equipment outages, and under-production issues using SCADA, DAS, and a computerized maintenance management system
Function as the primary point of contact with Balancing Authorities, Transmission Operators, Distribution Operators, and Scheduling Entities while utilizing three-part communication
Maintain logs of solar plant operations including notification of events and communications in accordance with Remote Operations Center (ROC) procedures
Schedule planned and unplanned outages with Scheduling Entities
Initiate responses to plant changes, site trips, feeder circuit trips, loss of communications, etc

Required

Experience working as a control room operator for renewable generation
Ability to work with different management styles and in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment under tight deadlines and demanding customers (internal and external)
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to solve problems of both a technical and operational nature
Knowledge of commercial and utility-scale solar electrical generating facility design, operations, and typical maintenance issues
Ability to work in a high-stress environment where decisions directly impact personnel safety and equipment reliability
Strong computer skills-mastery of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS) applications is required
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required for 24-7 coverage
Position requires routine personnel interaction with Remote Operations Center (ROC) staff on all shifts
Routine operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
Frequent oral and written communications

Preferred

Power generation experience, wind or solar background preferred
